In The Beginning....

What is the proper way to start a blog? Just what, gentle reader, do you expect? That is, of course, if you exist. Let's just say that I am by definition, a curmudgeon, not given to small talk and possessing an unwarranted sense of self-importance. Doesn't everyone want to know what I think? You don't! Well, you will. Or, at least I hope you will.

In the coming months I hope to write down the many things I have promised myself over the years that I believed needed to be written down. Why do they need to be written down? Who knows? I think its just to vent and to question that drives my newfound desire to become the next (insert favorite blog author here). I claim no special knowledge or insight. I certainly don't claim to possess any special talent. In fact I deny possessing any particular talent. I curse talent and caste it aside, if I had any to caste. I will speak for the mediocre among us. I will speak for the voiceless millions who just work for a living! Ummm, Ok, maybe I'll just speak for my crackpot-self and see where this goes.

Ah, the wonder of the blogosphere! Where any Lileks-wannabe hack with a burr in his saddle can spread his personal prejudices and viewpoints to the eager masses. America! Is this a great country or what?!?
