You Drink.....You Die

The warm, fuzzy, comfy-security blanket feeling religion of peace strikes again:

It seems that under sharia law, if you drink alcohol for the 3rd time, you die

But that’s ok, later in the article, the up tick in Iranian executions is explained away by stating that most of the executed offenders are murderers, rapists and drug traffickers. (Snicker!) I wonder if those Iranian maniacs who commit honor killings are among the murderers executed?? (Not!) More on honor killings here, and here.

On our side of the pond, its unfortunate that many of the same people in this country who oppose radical islam and its tenets would embrace many facets of its criminal code. They wouldn't trust this country to those who follow sharia law but gladly turn their eyes away from the abuses committed by their local police and prosecutors. Not saying that what happens at the local level in America is akin to what happens in Iran, just that the same people who are supposedly shocked by the Iranian madness, would gladly extend the death penalty to more and more supposed offenses and probably cheer when they here of the execution of drug traffickers. (In Missouri, the amount of drugs found in your possession to be charged with trafficking could be easily carried on your person, it doesn't have to be a truckload.)

The trust that many Americans place in police and government officials to always be honest, forthright and unable to make mistakes is frightening indeed. I truly wish every American would experience being arrested for a crime they didn't commit, as I have, so that they could realize how arbitrary the power of the modern local prosecutor is and how the justice system is stacked against all criminal defendants, whether those defendants be truly innocent or guilty of the charges leveled against them.
